CyberPowerPC Not Connecting to Monitor (7 Ways to Fix)

I remember the time when I had just purchased a Cyberpowerpc for gaming, and I was excited to have my first gaming setup at home.

However, after setting it up, I realized that my monitor won’t connect to the monitor. I was worried and didn’t know what to do.

After spending hours researching, troubleshooting, and talking to customer support, I finally found the solution.

So, if you’re having a similar issue, don’t worry! In this blog post, I’ll share some of the troubleshooting steps you can try to fix the problem.

Let’s get started!

How to Fix Cyberpowerpc Not Connecting to Monitor

Here are possible solutions you should try to resolve your Cyberpowerpc that isn’t connecting to the monitor.

CyberPower PC Not Connecting to Monitor

#1. Change Input Settings

Firstly ensure that you’ve connected to the system to the correct port or selected the correct input on your monitor.

So, you should look for a source/input button on your monitor. If you don’t have one, you can use the menu button.

Press the menu button from your monitor and select input, doing so will resolve the problem, and it will switch input to HDMI2.

If you cannot change the monitor input settings, you should check whether your monitor has more than one HDMI or VGA port.

So, remove the display cable from one HDMI port, insert it into the other HDMI port, and turn on the PC to check if it is working. Do the same process until you find the correct input port.

#2. Check the Display Cable

If the problem isn’t regarding the computer input, you should check the display cable connected to your monitor and system.

Ensure the cord is correctly inserted on both ends and it is seated firmly in place. You can disconnect and reconnect the cable from both ends to resolve the problem.

You should also check the wire length carefully to make sure it isn’t physically damaged. If the cable is broken or faulty, you should replace it with a new one.

#3. Use Other Type Display Connection

Mostly the latest monitor and systems come with HDMI ports. However, if your HDMI connection isn’t working, you should consider looking for other types of ports on your system to connect the monitor.

Sometimes the HDMI port on your monitor or the system can be faulty, so you should try connecting the PC using a VGA, USB-C, or Display port.

#4. Check RAM

While your Cyberpowerpc is not displaying on the monitor, this issue can be due to the faulty RAM sticks.

So, you should inspect all the RAM sticks inserted into your computer and find one of the faulty ones causing problems.

Open the side panel to access the internal components and remove all RAM sticks and check them carefully to ensure one of them is not faulty.

And then, insert one RAM stick into the RAM slot and power on the computer to check if it works. Then repeat the same process until you find the problem.

Power off the PC and insert another RAM into the slot until you find the faulty RAM stick. Then troubleshoot that particular RAM or replace it with a new one.

Overtime first/ debris can accumulate on your RAM unit or in the RAM slots. So, you should clean it with a lint-free cloth or rubbing alcohol.

After cleaning the RAM stick and RAM slot, insert it back into the PC and turn it to check if it is connected to the monitor.

#5. Reset CMOS

Another option you try resolving your PC is to reset CMOS or change the coin cell. The CMOS batteries are mostly used to save configuration settings, data, and time.

Also, it helps the PCs to load basic settings and turn on the device.

So, you can perform a CMOS reset following the below steps:

1. Unplug the PC from the power outlet and open the side panel to access the internal components.

2. Remove the coin cell from your motherboard.

3. Press and hold the power button from the PC to drain any lifted power.

4. Wait about a minute and place the battery back into the PC.

Once you’ve done this, turn on the PC and check if it is connected to the monitor. If it doesn’t work, you should clean or replace the coin cell with a new one.

#6. Check GPU

Overtimes using the device, dirt can accumulate on their electric connectors. If you have an old graphics card installed on your PC, check it for any kind of dust build-up.

So, you’ll need to remove the GPU from the motherboard and check the connectors to see if they are dirty. You should clean with a lint-free cloth or a brush.

You can also try your GPU with another monitor to ensure it works correctly. If the GPU doesn’t work with another system, you should try another method.

If possible, you can take another graphic card, connect to your Cyberpwoerpc, and turn it on to ensure it is connected.

Also, you should check all the wires connected to the GPU and motherboard to ensure they are firmly seated in place.

#6. Test Monitor/ PC with Another Device

If resetting the CMOS is not fixed your problem, you should check both your monitor and system with another device.

Firstly you can check the system with another monitor if you have one. You’ve disconnected the display cable from the monitor and connected it to the new one.

And then, plug the system and your monitor into the power outlet and check if the PC is displaying on the monitor.

If the system is working on the other monitor, you should connect it to your faulty monitor again and power it up to check whether it works.

You should also check the display/ power cable connection between your PC and monitor to prevent any problems.

If the monitor is still not working, you should check and clean its power and display port carefully, then try turning on your PC and check if it is connected.

However, if your monitor is not connecting after these methods, you should consider getting the monitor checked by an expert.

#7. Contact Customer Support

If none of the above solutions has resolved your Cyberpowerpc, you should inspect your PC carefully to ensure it isn’t physically damaged.

You should also get it checked by an expert or contact the Cyberpowerpc customer support team for other solutions.

Customer support will take a deep look into the problem and provide possible ways to get it working back correctly.
