CyberPowerPC Keyboard Not Working (8 Ways to Fix)

I was so excited to get my new CyberpowerPC gaming keyboard, but nothing happened when I plugged it in.

I tried every possible fix I could think of, but the keyboard just wouldn’t work. So, I started researching online for this problem.

After hours of searching, I found a few solutions and got it working back. In this article, I’ll show you how you can fix your Cyberpower pc keyboard.

Let’s get started!

How to Fix Cyberpowerpc Keyboard Not Working

You should use these methods to solve your keyboard problems.

1. Faulty USB Connection

When your Cyberpowerpc keyboard isn’t working, you should check its connection with your computer. Because a faulty or loose connection can prevent it from working.

So, you should inspect the keyboard and ensure it is securely plugged into the computer’s USB port.

However, the USB connection is secure, but the keyboard is still not working. You should inspect the keyboard and USB cable itself.

If the keyboard USB cable or the circuit board is faulty, you’ll need to get it checked by an expert technician.

2. Keyboard Isn’t Receiving Power

Sometimes your keyboard might not be receiving power to work perfectly. You should check the keyboard and ensure the backlight is working.

If neither the backlight nor the keyboard itself is functioning, the keyboard might not receive power.

In this situation, you’ll need to repair your USB port on the computer or use another USB port from the system.

3. Dirty Keys

Your keyboard can stop working due to the keys being dirty or sticky. So, you should carefully inspect your keyboard to ensure the keys aren’t visibly sticky, dirty, or debris between them.

In case, you’ll need to clean the keyboard and remove visible dirt from the keys. You can use compressed air to blast the dirt and prevent it from interfering with the key’s connection on the circuit board.

4. Reset USB Connection

You can reset the USB connection between your computer and keyboard in this situation. It can be helpful and help the PC to recognize the keyboard.

Follow the below steps to do so:

  1. Unplug the USB keyboard or USB adapter.
  2. Then wait about one minute.
  3. After a minute, plug the adapter/ USB keyboard back in.

When reconnecting your USB/ wireless keyboard, plug the adapter securely into the USB port on your computer.

5. Restart Computer

If your computer runs into a problem that doesn’t recognize the keyboard, you can reboot and solve it.

Rebooting/ power cycling your computer will help you to remove the software bugs and work it back correctly.

Here is how you can reboot your computer:

  1. From the desktop, click on the “Start.”
  2. And tap on the More icon from the power menu.
  3. Then select the Restart option.
  4. Wait a few seconds until the PC reboots.

Once your computer is rebooted, you can connect the keyboard and check if it works. Suppose it doesn’t work, you can try another method.

  1. Locate your computer power adapter.
  2. Unplug it from the power source and wait a few seconds.
  3. After about 30 seconds, plug it back into the power.

6. Reset PC

Your computer might not be detecting the keyboard due to faulty or malfunctioning software. In order to solve the problem, you can reset your PC.

Performing a factory reset will return your computer to its factory default settings and remove all your stored data.

Note: You should back up your data and essential files before resetting your computer because it will not be recovered.

Here are steps you can use to reset your computer:

  1. At the desktop, click search the web and window > type Reset
  2. And then select Rest this PC
  3. Under the reset this PC, click on Get Started.
  4. Next, select the Keep My Files option.
  5. Then follow the on-screen steps.

7. Unplug External Devices

If your Cyberpowerpc keyboard is still unresponsive, you should consider disconnecting all connected devices from the computer.

Including your speakers, printer, scanner, USB devices, or flash drives to figure these devices aren’t causing issues.

After unplugging all external devices, you should plug back your wired keyboard or the USB adapter for a wireless keyboard.

And then, turn your computer back on to ensure the keyboard works perfectly. If it isn’t working, you should inspect it for physical damage.

8. Contact Customer Support

If none of the solutions solve your keyboard issue, you should contact the CyberPowerPC customer support team.
