How to Fix Evoluent Mouse Not Working

1. Re-Establish Connection

When you are having an issue with your Evoluent mouse that it isn’t working, you should consider re-establishing connection.

It will help you to refresh the mouse connection with your computer and ensure there are no loose connection issues.

Firstly you should turn off your mouse and then remove the wireless receiver from your computer.

Press and hold the top thumb button.
Then turn on the power switch, and the lights will turn on, off, and flash on again.

Now, insert the wireless receiver into the USB port quickly.
The light will flash twice when it is paired.
Now you can release the thumb button.

2. Check Power Supply

One of the other major causes for your mouse not to work is its faulty power supply. If your mouse’s battery is low, or dead it will cause your mouse not to turn on or work correctly.

So, firstly you should ensure that the mouse battery is fully charged. If not, you should plug it in for a few minutes and let it 100% charge.

If the mouse is still not working after fully charging its battery, you should consider replacing it with another quality one.

On the other hand, if your mouse has a nonrechargeable battery, you’ll need to replace it with a new one.

3. Wireless Interferences

Sometimes wireless interferences from other wireless devices cause your mouse to stop working, keep disconnecting or other problems.

When your mouse stops working, you should verify that there are no wireless interferences closer to your mouse.

If you have, that is the case why your mouse isn’t working; and you’ll need to move them away from the mouse and computer.

4. Faulty USB Port

If you are still facing issues with your Evoluent mouse you should check that your wireless receiver is plugged in securely.

If the receiver is connected correctly, the problem can be related to your USB port on the computer.

Over time dirt and debris can accumulate in your computer’s USB port and prevent it from detecting wireless receivers.

So, you should inspect the port and ensure it isn’t dirty. If so, you should clean it using compressed air, a soft bristles brush, or a cotton swab.

If the port isn’t working, you can also try swapping between the other USB ports on your computer.

5. Update Mouse Driver

Press Windows + R to open the Run box.
Then type devmgmt.msc and click the Enter key.
Now, go to Mice and other pointing devices.

Explore the category by double-clicking it.
Now, right-click on your Evoluent mouse > select Update driver.
Now another window will be opened > select “search automatically for driver update.”

If the latest driver update is available, Windows will automatically install it.

6. Reinstall Driver

Sometimes driver compatibility issues lead your mouse not to work. If you’ve recently installed the latest version or your mouse driver, it might be the reason for your mouse malfunctioning.

In order to solve this problem you should consider reinstalling the driver and rolling back it to the previous settings.

Press Windows + R to open the Run box.
Then type devmgmt.msc and click the Enter key.

Now, go to Mice and other pointing devices.
Explore the category by double-clicking it.
Now, right-click on your Evoluent mouse > select Uninstall.

Then check the box “remove its software from this device.” and Uninstall.
Restart your PC, it will automatically scan and install the best driver for your system.
