Factory Reset Skytech Gaming PC (4 Easy Ways)

I stared at my trusty Skytech gaming PC, realizing it had become sluggish and unresponsive. 

It was time for a fresh start. With a mix of anticipation and apprehension, I made up my mind to embark on a journey that would breathe new life into my gaming rig. 

It was time to perform a factory reset, wiping away the accumulated clutter and reviving its former glory.

So, in this article, I’ll share the methods to factory reset your Skytech gaming PC.

How to Factory Reset Skytech Gaming PC

Performing a factory reset will wipe all stored data from your computer and return back to its factory default settings. 

Note: You should back up your essential data/ files before resetting because after resetting you’ll be unable to access them. 

These are a few ways that you can use to reset your Skytech gaming PC. 

#1. Using the PC Settings

In this method, you’ll need to login into your PC and then go to the device settings menu, where you can reset it. 

Here are steps on how you can reset your Skytech gaming PC:

1. Click on the start menu from the bottom left corner or press the Windows key. 

2. And then click on the Gear icon to access the device settings. 

3. Then select Update & Security

4. Next, click on the Recovery option.

5. Find the Reset this PC option and click on Get Started.

6. You’ll find two options:

  • Keep my files
  • Remove everything

7. Select one of the options, for a complete reset you should select the “remove everything” option. 

8. Tap Next, and you’ll see the Getting Things Ready screen. 

9. Then the “ready to reset this PC” screen will appear. You should click on Reset

10. The resetting can take up to 15 minutes so, you should wait until it finishes. 

11. After a few minutes your PC show will show the Region selection screen, which means the device is successfully reset. 

#2. From Login Screen

This is a method to reset your PC without entering the admin password just using the power on/ login screen. 

Here is how you can reset your Skytech PC from the login screen:

1. Turn off your PC completely and then switch it back on. 

2. Wait until the login screen appears. 

3. Click on the Power button from the bottom right corner; it will show you Restart and Shutdown options. 

4. Then hold down the Shift key and select Restart from the power menu options. Release the shift key when you see a please wait for the screen. 

5. Your PC will restart and enter the window recovery mode. 

6. In the choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot. 

7. And then click on Reset this PC. 

8. In the reset PC screen you’ll be presented with two options; keep my files and remove everything. 

9. You should select Remove Everything. And again you’ll be presented with two options; just remove my files, and fully clean the device. 

10. Select one of the options and click Reset. 

11. The computer will take about 15-60 minutes to reset, depending on what kind of data you’ve stored on. 

#3. Using the Installation Media

Using this reset method you can bypass the admin login password and reset the PC. The clean installation window will wipe the hard drive.

You should also back up your essential data before resetting. 

1. Go to the Microsoft website and click on the download tool, to create a Windows 10 media installation tool. 

2. Open the file location on your PC and click the file to install the application. 

3. Allow this app to make changes on your device. 

4. Accept the “applicable notes and licence terms.”

5. Plug in a USB drive and select Create Installation Media then select Next. 

6. Select language, architecture, and edition

7. Select the USB drive and click next. 

It will take a few minutes and your drive will be ready. 

In order to do so, you’ll need an installation media. So, create a Windows 10/11 bootable drive. 

Once you are ready the bootable drive follow the below steps to reset the PC:

1. Plug in the USB drive/ installation media to the PC. 

2. Restart your PC and start pressing the F8, F9, or Esc keys to open the boot menu. In the boot menu select your USB drive as a boot drive and press enter. 

3. Next, the computer will enter the window setup screen. Select your language, currency, and keyboard layout

4. Then click Next to continue. 

5. And click on the Install Now option. 

6. If your PC has a Windows operating system, select “I don’t have a product key.”

7. Accept the applicable notes and license terms by checking the “I accept” checkbox

8. Select the “custom: install window only” option. 

9. Then select your installation drive and click next. Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update successfully finished. 

This way the window will remove the installation drive and install a fresh copy of Windows. And then Microsoft will prompt you to login into the Microsoft account to finish the setup. 

#4. Restore BIOS Default Settings

This process will reset the PC to its default settings and the process will take about 5-10 minutes. If you’ve set a supervisor password it will be used to enter the BIOS to enable recovery. 

Here is how you can restore BIOS to default settings:

1. Shut down your computer completely and then restart the computer. 

2. Enter the BIOS by rapidly tapping the F10 key. 

3. Then tap Advanced and special configurations. 

4. Click Factory Recovery

5. Select Enabled > and click Home

6. Click Save & Exit. 

7. Tap Exit Save Changes and Yes to confirm it. 

8. On the choose option screen select Troubleshoot

9. Then tap Factory Reset

10. And click Y to reset the window to factory default settings. 

How to factory Reset PC Windows 11

Resetting your Windows 11 PC is quite easy, the same as we know to reset a Windows 10. You can rest your PC window 11 following the below steps:

1. Turn on your PC and go to Start. 

2. And click on Settings. 

3. Then System and Recovery. 

4. Next, Reset this PC and select Reset PC.
